Gambling is increasingly becoming popular among teens and adults. Today’s teens are showing more interest towards gambling than any other form of sports. With gambling becoming legal in many parts of the world, the inclination towards gaming has reached a new height.
With the inception of internet and exciting new blackjack bonus games and offers, people of all age group consider gambling as their favorite pass time. No one wants to miss out on the dual deal – money and pleasure.
Gambling as a pass time does have some serious negative effects.
Firstly, previously, people after a hard day’s work, used to unwind themselves by hanging out with friends, chatting and socializing. But today the scenario is different. After reaching home from office or college, they either sit in front of the internet or rush to the nearby casinos to gamble. Thus, they completely isolate themselves from the society and are even not aware of the surrounding events and news. They are too busy with the game, losing the sense of reality.
Secondly, it is debatable whether gambling can ever fall into the category of pass time. People usually have a pass time in order to relax, have fun and forget about their day to day worries. But it is seen that gambling on many occasions in stead of diminishing the worries, it has aggravated it. Gambling means playing with hard earned money. Whenever, the gambler loses out money, it leads him to tension, anxiety and even depression. Gambling is undoubtedly a lethal time pass, as it has lead many people to commit suicide.
Thirdly, gambling usually does not require any form of physical activity. People can sit and gamble all day long, in order to kill time or have a good time pass. This proves to be extremely harmful for the body. With no exercise the gamblers turn out to be an obese.
Thus, it is advisable to gamble once in a while but never make gambling a habitual time pass.
